Small Carpathian Wine Tour
A guided trip to the Small Carpathian Mountains, which is a region famous for its wines and beautiful ceramics. You will visit the royal towns of Modra and Pezinok and the Castle Red Stone near the village Casta.
The town of Modra is a typical local town of the Small Carpathian Mountains region, famous not only for its renowned wines but also for the beautiful hand made pottery. During the excursion in the ceramics manufacture you will learn about the history of production, see the manufacturing premises and you will have an opportunity to buy nicely painted ceramics products.
In the 16th Century Castle Red Stone (approx. 50 km from Bratislava) you will see valuable painting collection, exposition of antique furniture and the very special wine cellars. During the middle ages the castle was part of the mountain frontiers. After the visit of the Castle a wine tasting will be offered in a nearby mansion.
Duration: about 5 hours (from 9:00 to approx. 14:00)
